The impact of Artsmark
Better and brighter! After 10 successful years and over 10, 000 Artsmarks, we're back!
Artsmark is a national award that accredits quality arts education in England. It is Arts Council England’s flagship programme to audit, celebrate and develop high quality arts education in schools, further education colleges, and youth justice settings. It is developed in partnership with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Department of Education and OfSTED.
We are excited to re-launch the scheme in September 2011 with a new online application system and refreshed criteria that will address both the quantity and quality of provision. A priority of the new scheme will be the opportunity for applicants to work with arts education professionals to develop relationships and broaden resources, ensuring that future arts provision is balanced, sustainable and of high quality.
20% of schools in England now hold an Artsmark and we want to work with you to build on this!
