National Campaign ‘Youth Arts Transforms Lives- FACT!’ Update
National Campaign ‘Youth Arts Transforms Lives- FACT!’ Update
Artswork is delighted that almost 5000 people have already accessed and downloaded the ‘Youth Arts Transforms Lives’ campaign resource, which is one of the key outputs of the national campaign: http://artswork.org.uk/campaign-2011
We would like to thank all those who have supported the campaign since its launch in the summer of 2010. Over 120 case studies were received, demonstrating the transformational power of the arts to make positive changes to the lives of young people. The campaign has been supported by the voices and views of young people and endorsed by leading national and international arts, creative and cultural figures.
We would like to thank all those who took part in an event, became a regional youth arts champion, promoted the campaign via your web sites and publicity, submitted youth arts videos and wrote endorsements and articles. You have supported us to illustrate the real impact of participation in the arts and culture with, for and by young people.
We are now at a crucial moment in the campaign and we would like to give one final push on all campaign aspects to help us achieve the 5 campaign aims:
- Produce evidence to support key messages regarding the value of youth arts
- To increase knowledge, understanding and support for youth arts by politicians and government ministers
- To make a stronger case to funding bodies to allocate specific funds to youth arts and to provide evidence as to why this is relevant
- To demonstrate the value of youth arts to services supporting hard to reach young people
- To highlight key national initiatives benefiting the youth arts sector and creating a framework for how they can be delivered at a regional level
- Highlight/ showcase the valuable work undertaken by artists and arts organisations with young people
You can further help to support the campaign in the following ways:
- By downloading the campaign resource and forwarding it to relevant contacts
- ‘Tweet’ about the resource. Please include ‘@artsworkLtd’ alongside your entry so that we can track your support
