Top children's author designs new Artsmark certificates and plaques

Award winning illustrator and children’s author, Coralie Bickford-Smith has designed a new suite of certificates and plaques for Artsmark. Awarded by Arts Council England, Artsmark helps schools to deliver high-quality art and cultural education.

Incorporating the three levels of the award; silver, gold and platinum, Coralie has brought the certificates and plaques to life through her intricate illustrations.

From early childhood, the arts has played a key role in Coralie’s life, as she explains in her blog. Coralie’s illustrations have featured in numerous international publications including The New York Times, Vogue and The Guardian. Coralie also wrote and illustrated the highly- successful The Fox and The Star children’s book, which was published in 2015.

Coralie said: “Working with the Arts Council has given me the opportunity to give back to the arts sector, which has given me much inspiration and encouragement to pursue my career.

“I hope on receipt of the certificates and plaques, schools will be equally as excited and will celebrate their hard work knowing that much thought and dedication has gone into creating something that honours their achievements.”

Coralie’s beautiful designs have been expertly printed by London Print Studio.

About Coralie Bickford-Smith
Graduating from Reading University after studying Typography and Graphic Communication, Coralie Bickford-Smith works for Penguin Books. Her book cover designs have been recognised by the AIGA (NY) and D&AD (UK) and have featured in a numerous international magazines and newspapers including The New York Times, Vogue and The Guardian. Coralie wrote and illustrated The Fox and The Star, which was published by Penguin in August 2015,. And has been commissioned by a wide range of clients including The New York Times, Fortnum & Mason, Waterstones and Diageo.
