Your Statement of Commitment is your first formal submission for Artsmark, and will be used to assess your application. Select an option below to find out more:

test-1
Test
  • What

Your Statement of Commitment comprises six questions, and each of your answers can be up to 500 words, and the submission is narrative in style.

This is the key planning document for your Artsmark journey, to tell us where you aspire to be and how you will get there. It will be used as your starting point when evidencing and evaluating your journey in your Statement of Impact.

You’ll describe the current state of play in your setting and your overall plan for the arts.

Your plan for Artsmark should have a live and ongoing relationship with your strategic improvement/development plan.

Your Statement of Commitment will be used as a reference point when it is time to assess your progress, particularly the distance travelled since setting your objectives.

  • How

    test-3

You don’t need to write your Statement of Commitment quite yet, but once you’ve attended your Development Training session with our Artsmark support provider, you’ll have all you need to write and submit your Statement of Commitment.

To start writing your Statement of Commitment you’ll need:

    • The Statement of Commitment template (Word format)
    • The Statement of Commitment guidance
    • The Artsmark Framework
    • Artsmark Application Guidance
    • Your unique weblink to your online submission form, which we’ll e-mail you separately

You should reference the criteria and Quality Principles in the Artsmark Framework when drafting your submission.

If you have a previous Artsmark Award since 2015, you’ll want your feedback from your previous award to hand when planning your new journey.

  • When

You must submit your Statement of Commitment within three months of attending your Development Training session with our support provider.

Taking any longer risks losing the momentum and enthusiasm you started your journey with, and if lost, this momentum can be difficult to recover.
