A great year for Artsmark
Over the summer we’ve been reflecting on all the great things we achieved last year and wanted to say a big THANK YOU to our Artsmark community for helping us get to where we are today.
Are you sitting comfortably? Preferably enjoying an ice-cold drink as our summer heatwave continues… Here’s a look back at our key moments from the last academic year…
Artsmark Celebration Week: what a start to the year!
In the autumn we launched the first ever Artsmark Celebration Week, in collaboration with our 10 regional Bridge organisations, showcasing the brilliant creativity our Artsmark settings bring to children and young people across England.
The #CelebrateArtsmark campaign reached over two million people on social media! Thanks for your participation and enthusiasm!

Artsmark Partnership Programme: a firmer footing for Artsmark nationally
Last autumn we also invited arts and cultural organisations from across the country to sign up to our Artsmark Partnership Programme and we’ve been overwhelmed by how many have already come on board in such a short time. We now have 550 organisations supporting settings on their Artsmark journey!
Our Artsmark Partners have a wide range of offers for schools and education settings; from CPD opportunities for staff, digital resources or workshops linked to the curriculum for students, to arranging special visits to exhibitions and performances.
Being an Artsmark Partner has become a badge of honour for organisations, offering reassurance to settings that they understand the requirements and process of the Artsmark Award. Contact your Bridge organisation to find Partners in your area. We’ll be sharing lots of inspiring stories over the next year, so keep up-to-date on our blog or through Facebook and Twitter.
Teaching with Creativity hub: showcasing excellence to the masses
Earlier this year we partnered up with Tes to develop a Teaching with Creativity hub, sharing inspiring stories and useful resources to inspire and help support schools to develop their arts provision.
In a few short months, the hub has had over 17,000 visitors, 5,000 of whom come back regularly to see what our schools have been up to. We’ll be continuing this partnership next year, and we’d like to share more practical tools and resources through the hub. So, would you like to share your creative resources on the world’s largest teaching website? Then get in touch!
On the road
Over the past year, the Artsmark team has had a great time getting out and about taking part at national conferences and events. We met lots of new schools and settings, plenty of whom went on to register, but we particularly loved it when our Artsmark settings would come by to say hello and talk to us about their Artsmark journey.
This autumn we’ll be at the Schools and Academies Show, the Sixth Form College Association’s conference, the NGA autumn conference and at the Youth Justice Convention so make sure you come and say hello!
Got a special event you’d like us to come along to? Drop us an email and we’ll try our very best to come along to support and celebrate with you.
We wish you all the best for a successful and creative year and can’t wait to share more new developments with you over the next few months. And remember…
Creativity is a tap...the more you turn it on the more it flows.
