Our Artsmark20 Stories

Our Little Inventor’s activities really got students all across the country inspired and ready to invent the next big invention! Have a look at what a couple of our Artsmark schools got up to.

Day to Create: England's next big inventors

Four images of children smiling and painting

Wistaston Academy celebrated Day to Create by exploring the theme of ‘Diversity’. Pupils enjoyed workshops across the school with singer Tim Uffindell; local band, Baxter; art and music specialists from the Oaks Academy and a very special musician and speaker: Bart Gee. They expressed their individuality and their collaborative strength through mask-making, printmaking, collage pieces, music, and sound creation!

Two images, the first a group of children sat on a table drawing and a second an image of their work.
A group of children's heads sat down as they face their teacher.

Christ the King Primary School really got into the inventing spirit! They made inventor goggles, went on problem-finding hunts, and made models of their bonkers and creative inventions. Students could create inventions for one person or the whole community - one group even invented a contraption to stop global warming!
